Evans EMAD Clear Bass Drumhead The EMAD comes with 2 dampening rings, each of which affects the head's sound and pedal response. This external system not only maximizes natural attack characteristics and offers tremendous dynamic range (even at low dynamic levels where other damping systems fall short), it also allows quick, easy adjustments - without having to remove the head from the drum. This unique feature is extremely valuable, especially during recording sessions.

Evans EMAD2 Clear Bass Drumhead The EMAD2 is a 2-ply version of the popular original. The combination of a 6.5mil and 10mil film offer extreme durability and enhanced attack, while the 2 interchangeable damping rings maximize low-end and allow the player to adjust sustain and feel.

Evans REMAD Resonant Bass Drumhead The EMAD Resonant was brought to Evans by drummer/designer Bob Gatzen, and refined by the Evans Research and Development team. It utilizes a 7mil head with a fixed internal ring. The head features two interchangeable foam rings that dampen overtones around the edge of the 5 in. offset port, focusing the pitch and enhancing attack. The port is positioned higher up on the head for easier microphone placement.

Evans Black Bass Drumhead Exclusive to the Evans line, Hydraulic heads have a layer of oil between the 2 plies to give you the fat, wet sound that was pioneered in the 70's. The oil acts as a natural muffler to decrease sustain and increase attack without affecting the feel of the head, as internal and external mufflers often do.

Evans EQPAD Bass Drum Muffling Pad The EQ Pad is an adjustable bass drum muffler that enables control over attack and sustain. A hinged damping pad bounces off the head upon impact, allowing minimal resonance.
